The park currently maintains 37 Campsites,
and 30 Cabins. Overnight visitation is increasing
in its popularity here at Grayton, so make reservations
early. The management and staff are looking forward
to meeting new visitors as well as welcoming back
our friends from the past.
Hours of Operation
Florida state parks are open from 8 a.m. until sundown
365 days a year.
Driving Directions
Grayton Beach State Park is located South of U.S.
98 appoximately halfway between Panama City Beach
and Destin Take County rd 283 south of U.S. 98 turn
left at the stop sign on 30A approximately .1 mile
east of the intersection of C.R. 30A and C.R. 283
our entrance will be found on the right.
ACTIVITIES
Cabins
This 2,228 acre coastal park has 30 fully
furnished 2 bedroom 1 bath cabins available for
reservation. The Cabins are located a short walk
from the sugar white sand beaches our area is renowned
for. The Cabins are in a remote area of the park
behind an electronic gate and are not generally
accessible without reservation to the visiting public.
Full Facility Camping
The Florida State Park’s most charming Camping
area is found here at Grayton Beach State Park.
Thirty -Seven campsites with electric and water
hookups are available for reservation through Reserve
America. Our Campground has a centrally located
restroom with hot showers, and a standalone dump-station.
Amphitheater
Grayton has an Amphitheater adjoining the Campground.
Ranger led interpretive programs are conducted on
the lake peninsula during the summer months.
Boat Ramp
A boat ramp is available on Western Lake.
Fishing
Saltwater species are caught in the surf, while
both fresh and saltwater fish are caught in the
lake's brackish water.
Nature Trails
The Grayton Beach Nature Trail begins near the beach
parking area and winds among sand dunes, pine flatwoods
and scrub communities. It is interpreted by a self-guiding
leaflet available at the ranger station.
Picnicking
A large picnic pavilion overlooking the Gulf waters
is available.
Swimming
Swimming along the park's one mile of shoreline
is very popular for visitors.
